I can’t wait to see this, it really looks like one of the creepiest movies of the year.  its stars Karen Gillan (“Doctor Who,” Not Another Happy Ending), Brenton Thwaites (MaleficentThe Giver), Rory Cochrane (ArgoParkland), and Katee Sackhoff (“Battlestar Galactica,” Riddick).

Ten years ago, tragedy struck the Russell family, leaving the lives of teenage siblings Tim and Kaylie forever changed when Tim was convicted of the brutal murder of their parents. Now in his 20s, Tim is newly released from protective custody and only wants to move on with his life; but Kaylie, still haunted by that fateful night, is convinced her parents’ deaths were caused by something else altogether: a malevolent supernatural force unleashed through the Lasser Glass, an antique mirror in their childhood home. Determined to prove Tim’s innocence, Kaylie tracks down the mirror, only to learn similar deaths have befallen previous owners over the past century. With the mysterious entity now back in their hands, Tim and Kaylie soon find their hold on reality shattered by terrifying hallucinations and realize, too late, that their childhood nightmare is beginning again…

Buffy the Vampire Slayer/Angle & Faith Season 10

Posted in Comic Books, Horror Babes, vampires, witches, Zombies on March 21, 2014 by chrisdsav

Buffy returns to comics with Season 10 this time with the team of Rebecca Isacks and Christopher Gage who worked on Angel and Faith S9 (for anyone unfamiliar with the books there was no S6-8 of Angel it was called that to show where in the time line it takes place with the Buffy Comic, all mini series and one shots carry the SEASON subtitle). The entire S8 and 9 are in tpb thru Dark Horse comics so make sure you go read it. Buffy and the gang are still dealing with the Zompires and now have the threat of Vampires with all new powers, shape shift into bats, wolfs, mist and can with stand sun light. It also takes more than just a poke of Mr.Pointy to stop them. Spike it right by Buffy side in this book, Billy the Vampire Slayer and his bf/watcher also returns as well. Its a action packed great way to kick off the series. In the end Faith shows up with Willows ex gf slayer and they are about to get into a big fight with the new evolution of Vampires run by Vickie the Vampire, yes Vickie the Vampire and her and Buffy make fun of each other’s names. Its a great book the art is AMAZING I loved the artist Rebecca on Angel and I love her on this book as well. Pick this new book up and follow it thru the end of Joss Wheadons final Buffy The Vampire Slayer chapter.

My co host Pam reviews IN FEAR I am about to sit down with the star from Shield Iain and do a short interview, this weekend we will play it and the directors interview as well.

timewantsaskeleton

Iain De Caestecker (Agents of SHIELD) plays Tom who sweetly stumbles through inviting a girl he’s recently met, Lucy (Alice Englert, Beautiful Creatures) to a festival in the Irish country side. While travelling they stop at a pub, Tom gets in what he describes as an immature altercation and Lucy gets peeped on while she scribbles graffiti on the bathroom wall. But they leave in good spirits and Tom surprises her with a night in a hotel instead of camping out with friends for their two week anniversary.

infear

In true modern horror movie form; the GPS loses signal, cell phones lose service -hell, there are no streetlights! The sign says one way and the map says another. Nature seems on the attack. Is it creepy locals, is it something supernatural, is it in their heads -an element of the psychological: adults from the city and grown up…

Army of Darkness vs Hack/Slash 1-6

Posted in Comic Books, Goth, Horror Babes, Zombies on March 3, 2014 by chrisdsav

My co-host Pamela Isley reviews the final issue of this really long mini series that started back in July and has been really late by the time we go to the 6th issue I almost did not care any more. Ash has teamed up with Santa Claus, Herbert West, Xena twice, President Obama, fought Freddy and Jason twice, Darkman, the Marvel Zombies, Dracula, the Wolfman and more. All those books came out on time this book was soooo badly late I am looking forward to Tim Seeley coming back on the show to explain why. Check out her blog as she covers 1-6
