What starts out as a modern day Pursuit of Happiness (drama staring Will Smith and his son in what would be his last GOOD ROLE)
Turns in to a bat shit crazy experience of some really slow paced. They do a good job of making this amazing actress from Madrid look homely and not pretty but the cut always to showering and bubble baths reveal a true Horror babe. Sit till the end the pay off is worth it even of the scares are few and in between. I will say if you have not seen this kind of movie or this is your frist exposure to the thriller genre you might be surprised. I will say the movie was depressing all the way thru cuz I too have a son who was once very sick and there was nothing i could for him but he did recover.
Look for my interview with the star of the movie Marta this weekend on the show. We will ask her about hr thoughts about the movie.
Sin City the Dame to Kill For
Ugh I sat thru this and hated it. It was not that great compared to the last one. I was rooting for the wave of comic book movies this summer to do so well It started great with the 300 Rise of the Empire back in March another sequel to a Dark Horse Comic by Frank Miller btw. Then we had all the Marvel movies and no DC films then a terrible TMNT movie and now this. Visually its great to look at. The only good parts of this movie were on Ave Green that’s it. I really wanted to like Josh Brolin’s take on Dwights and see if he would do better than Clive Owen but sadly he did not. Dennis Haysbert from 24 tried to do his best version of Michael Clark Duncan but sadly no. Again the movie is really nice to look at but over all it was a bad movie with little to offer. Most likely why it came in at 6 mill at the box office and no one saw it.
Deliver us from Evil
Posted in entertainment, ghosts, Leominster Movie Theater, movies, Satan, Theater on July 4, 2014 by chrisdsavA new horror movie staring Eric Bana (Troy, The Time Travler’s Wife) about a cop Sgt Ralph Sarchie real account of a possession in New York City years ago. He is not a man of faith and does not believe in the cross any more. After a weird break in at the NY Zoo, he begins to question reality and his sanity when he starts witnessing some strange events in his life. Its all connected to three painters all former soldiers dishonorable discharged.
The memoirs of the former police officer tilted BEWARE THE NIGHT are the inspiration for this Jerry Bruckheimer produced film. Its more based on the cop him self who is a self proclaimed demonoligist. He has worked on 25 cases involving demons. If you believe in that sort of thing. Olivia Munn former gaming goddess of Attack of the Show cont that movie career she tries so hard to have.
I my self am a skeptic of the occult infill I see it for my self.
It has some cool atmosphere and the character that Bana plays is more interesting than the movie it self sometimes. These EXORCIST movies are not offering anything we have not seen before and that’s very boring.
The movie is out now and play at Leominster Entertainment Cinema and Black Stone Valley in Millbury MA.
Review – Transformers: Age of Extinction
Posted in aliens, entertainment, horror/sci-fi cartoon, Leominster Movie Theater, movies, Theater, Toys, Zombies on June 26, 2014 by chrisdsavI had to reblog THIS one from my friend Dan Kimmel, you can hear my co-host and I review this weekend on the show and on you tube.
Movie is playing at Blackstone Cinema Delux and Leominster Entertainment Cinema.
With Mark Wahlberg, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor. Written by Ehren Kruger. Directed by Michael Bay. Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of sci-fi violence and action, language and brief innuendo. 165 minutes.
“2001: A Space Odyssey” was 160 minutes. “The Godfather” was 170 minutes. There is no reason on Earth (or beyond) that TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION needs to be 165 minutes. It is a bloated, incoherent mess that may divert children (and grown-ups who enjoyed playing with the toys) who have turned the last three films into international hits. It’s a prime example of why box office is not a good measure of quality.
Written by Ehren Kruger, the once promising screenwriter who now makes a lot of money for “Scene: Good robots fight bad robots,” sets us up with Cade Yeager (Mark Wahlberg), a Texas inventor who is about to lose his home. It’s five…

Posted in entertainment, Leominster Movie Theater, Monsters, movies, news, Places, SciFi on May 15, 2014 by chrisdsavA great little article on GODZILLA I had to share with all of you. The new movie comes out this Friday.
Its playing in Leominster Ma Blackstone Valley in Millbury and IMax in Natick
Gojira (1954)
Starring: Akira Takarada, Momoko Kôchi, Akihiko Hirata, Takashi Shimura, Haruo Nakajima
Directed by: Ishirô Honda (Rodan; Mothra Vs. Godzilla; Ghidorah, the Three-Headed Monster)
Synopsis: So Gojira (a.k.a. Godzilla) is basically chilling in the ocean, minding his own business, when atomic bomb tests annoy the crap out of him. But he uses the radiation he’s absorbed to his advantage, coming up to the surface to beat down some boats. Of course, the humans get their panties in a bunch about it, so he decides to really teach them a lesson and bust up Japan.
What works: I’ve really only seen bits and pieces of this movie over the years and never really sat down and watched the whole thing in its entirety. What I’m reviewing here is the original, subtitled Japanese version sans-Raymond Burr. I’ve always been a fan of the character Godzilla, but I admit to only seeing most of his movies…
