Here it is the brand new Atari gaming console. With a low price of 199.99 if you fund it now. Other wise the system is 299.99. My only problem with this is we dont know much about the game line up what exclusive game will be available and what game are going to be on it that are on other platforms. Lets hope we learn the library soon.

Vampyr
Posted in horror, news, vampires, Video Games with tags Horror, Movies, music, Soundtracks, vampires on May 7, 2018 by chrisdsav
AT LONG LAST and I know this was announced back in Feb but I only found out today. (one of my local Game Stops is run by morons sometimes not to be cruel but I have expressed interest in this game MULTIPLE times) This is coming June 5th.
The game focuses on Dr. Jonathan Reid and his affliction with vampirism. As he encounters various citizens of 1918 London, Reid struggles with the juxtaposition between his duty to heal as a doctor and his need to feed as a vampire. Should players choose to indulge Reid’s curse, they must decide which citizens will become his next victims and, depending on how intimately Reid gets to know those citizens, how Reid will live with the consequences of his curse.
Also there is an amazing cover of the Blue Oyster Cult Song Here as the them to the Game

Dr.Chris Record Spotlight The Empire Strikes Back
Posted in 80s, music, sci-fi, StarWars, vinyl with tags maythe4th, music, StarWars, vinyl on May 4, 2018 by chrisdsavIt has been over a year since I did a record spotlight. Wow ….There honestly is no exscuse well in honor of Star Wars day we say May the 4th Be with you and well be doing TWO of these a month. Yup and what better sound track to start than THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK.
Composed by the amazing John Willaims for George Lucas and directed by Irvin Kirshner, its considered the best Star Wars films. Albeit to argue one of the best films of all time. The most iconic score on the soundtrack is the Imperial March and Yodas theme. Below you can some ome liner notes that were included with records at the time and as of today some stilk have them. This was pre internet. Today you can just look at pictures of Star Wars when ever you want. I had to include that awesome picture of Boba Fett and Darth Vader talking to each other about the fate of Han Solo. Fett was such a minor character in this film but so awesome they had to out him in this cool full color image in side the album.
My copy was found at a flea market in Fitchburg Ma. along with a mint copy of the original soundtrack. I also found soundtracks to Star Trek 1 and 2. The record it self is in MINT condition the sleeve however is a bit roughed up as you can see in the image above. You get both classic posters for the film on the front and back.
I love how the hiss of the vinyl and the an ticipation of Williams iconic score really brings this album to life.
I can’t reccomend this enough and its been rereleased a few times so tracking one down should not be hard.
