The Halloween Burger

Posted in Halloween, Holiday, news on September 29, 2015 by chrisdsav

Burger King came out with their weirdest creation ever. One in time for Halloween. The Halloween Burger is a whopper with pickels tomato onion mayo and A 1 steak sauce. All on top a BLACK seasame bun. WTF? YUP A BLACK CHARCOAL COLORED BUN. It looks disgusting. …..but I bought it and ate it. It’s not bad. It comes wrapped in a wrapper that look like a mummy.
The A1 sauce is used to make the bun dough black. Interesting idea. I didn’t really taste it.

It’s worth picking up just to say you ate it.
Happy Halloween.

Hey every one I didnt have a chance to post while I was at comic con, but we raised 300$ in 1-5$ donations.I want to thank every one who came by and donated. Last nights show was pre recorded. We played old show interviews. Thanks to every one who is following us now on the blog and our you tube page.  I picked up some great horror comics and was able to meet and get some great interviews which we will be playing coming up very very soon. Nikki Klyne from Battlestar Gallactica will be on the show soon. Jack Purcell a DC comic artist will be on wit us and Jennifer Rose a cosplayer we have met at several conventions.

One of the best comics I picked up was a big stack of Horror graphic novels. I got caught up on my Walking Dead with vol 23, and 24. Werewolf by Night vol2, EXsanguine, Fright Night part 1 and 2 and Son of Dracula a rare comic from Atlas Comics, I have only seen once or twice.

As I have at previous  conventions we will be raising money for a charity. The Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston Massachusetts  saved my son’s life 8 years  ago and he continues  being a patient  there doing yearly check ups. We will be giving away prizes such as posters, t shirts, books, comics, DVDs and blu rays, and other assorted items from the horror industry. I will have my lovely assistant Elena Ferrari with me to help at the convention.

I may or may not have a show this weekend……live. Radio of Horror will still be on the air with past interviews and more.
Don’t forget to check us out on Facebook  and our youtube channel for past interviews.

The History of Metal and Horror.

Posted in documentary, DVD, music, news on September 14, 2015 by chrisdsav

A subject we have talked about on this show for many years. In fact I can’t think of any other music industry more connected to Horror than the metal music scene. Rob Zombie, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osborne, Slayer, Helloween, The Misfits, out most recent band Altar of Dagon. They all have some connection  to the Horror genre.
Now a new documentary is coming out to explore the history and connection between the two.

The History of Metal and Horror” is a documentary which explores the evolution of both heavy metal and horror and how the two genres have merged over time. It is common for fans of metal to be fans of horror, and vice versa.

Check out the link below from Indiegogo. You have less than 60 days to help fund this awesome project.

Mike Schiff serves as writer, director, producer, director of photography, and editor. Mike resides in the Bronx, NY and has spent the last year traveling the country in order to film the interviews. This project was initially made possible with friend, Robert L. Lucas who has strong ties in the horror and heavy metal industry.

Jeepers Creepers Pedophilia

Posted in Monsters, news on September 12, 2015 by chrisdsav

The new trailer for Jeepers Creepers 3 Cathedral  came out this week. The films have all been directed by Victor Salva who also directed Powder about a boy stuck by lighting at birth and looks like an Albino.
I saw Jeepers Creepers and thought the story and creature created were so cool. It also made me like Justin Long as an actor. Little did I know and a lot of my fellow horror fans know the truth. The director was a convicted child rapist. He had sex with a 12 year old boy years ago. After learning this I could not watch part 2 or ever want to support part 3. I don’t care who else was involved in the making of these movies. I only care that the director Victor a RAPIST is allowed to continue making movies. Fan needs to STOP supporting this real life monster and learn the facts of who their money is going too. It pays for a lifestyle he should never have. A rapist is worse than a murderous psycho in my opinion.

Do not buy this movie do not support his art. As a father of a little boy and a Horror movie fan I can’t be more disgusted with this
FACT.
Google the story your self this is not HATE ranting on a movie like I do with Sparkle Vampires. This is hate for a child predator.

The New England Horror Filmmakers.

An update
The book has gone to several publishers for consideration. Not a lot of response and the ones that did respond have been it’s too short or we won’t publish something that won’t sell.
It’s getting expanded with two new directors added to the book.
David Langil  the director of my 48 hour short film  project A Mummy Among Us. The other director I am still waiting to hear from. We will be adding a photo section to the book as well to really give it something it needs. He book does not look like it will be published  in 2015 like I thought. I have been working on this book since 2012, when I first met with the guys behind The Drive In Horror Show.

Until Dawn

Posted in horror, Reviews, Video Games on September 5, 2015 by chrisdsav

Horror survival has been on the up swing recently  which for this gamer has been boy a blessing for me  and a curse on my wallet.
Until Dawn by Supermassive  games was originally  suppose to come out for he PS3  but was delayed and they scrapped that to make it a PS4 exscullsive.

image

It’s a cabin in the woods slasher story. After the death of two characters  in the very beginning, a year later the friends of the victims are all invited back to the snow covered lodge and picked off one by one by the killer.
Now WHO gets killed off is left up too YOU the gamer, as the whole game is a choose your own adventure video game.
Choose Your Own Adventure  was a book series that has been around for years where as the reader takes different  paths in order to complete the story. The choises you make effect gsme out come. The game calls it The Butterfly Effect, not the movie staring Ashton Kutcher and Amy Smart.

image

The game is filled with horror tropes and things you love and hate. It’s horny  teenagers and 20 something year olds at their worst. Ex bf and gf who still pine for each other check, bf trying to get his gf alone and naked check, the blonde character runs around naked and only wearing a towel check, creepy older character delivering cryptic messages check, ancient Indian burial check. You have to love the writers really being fans of Horror movies and their silly tropes.

Hayden Panettiere from Nashville and Heroes, Peter Stormare from The Black List 22 Jump Street and more, Brett Dalton from Agents of Shield and many more make up the voice acting talent as well as full motion 3D  scans of their faces to make the characters  seem alive.

The game has 100 different paths you can take to achieve what you need in the game, with so many different  variables Until Dawn will keep you entertained for hours. It’s worth picking up if you love Horror survivial.

Posted in 80s, Horror Movies, music, record, vinyl on September 1, 2015 by chrisdsav

In honor of Wes Craven who passed away this past Sunday. I thought I would review the new limited edition lp I got in the mail. Released by One Way Static Records.
One on side you get Dream Warriors the other you get Into the Fire.
This was made for the movie The Nightmare on Elm ST PART 3 the Dream Warriors in 1987.

It’s good 80s hair metal at its finest. A great music video a companies the blu ray release if Nightmare 3. Dokken was the true example of 80s metal music.
