Black Friday Horror

Posted in horror, locations, Monsters, tv, Video Games on November 28, 2014 by chrisdsav

Working Black Friday the most dreaded fucking shopping day of the year. It can be mad crazy but some times you can find a lot of great deals. I picked up Wolfenstein the new order on X box 360 and the first two seasons of Grimm very very cheap. If you buy a PS4 you get Grand Theft Auto V and The Last of Us. A very cool deal.

Its not all horror unless your trying to kill each other over deals then you need to grow the fuck up.

Check this out Best Buy has every season of Supernatural on sale for 9.99.

ZOMBIE KILLERS: ELEPHANT’S GRAVEYARD

Posted in horror, Horror Babes, Zombies on November 25, 2014 by chrisdsav

Yeah ANOTHER Zombie movie, this one coming form Anchor Bay the same studio that gave us a dozen others like The Dead and The Dead 2: India and is the distributor of The Walking Dead Tv show. Will we get Elephant Zombies?? No, that be silly. It looks like form the trailer it could pass for an episode of The Walking Dead. The movies stars out guest from last night Dee Wallace and Billy Zane.

The rural town of Elwood has always been a “bubble” against the backdrop of an organism-based epidemic where infected humans don’t die, instead they roam to spread the infection in a grisly, horrific way. Those who escape must survive—by any means necessary. But at what price?

Mischa Barton (“The O.C.,” Walled In), Felissa Rose(Sleepaway Camp, Satan’s Playground), and Brian Anthony Wilson (Law Abiding Citizen, Limitless) also star.

In the film, the “Zombie Killers” are a small band of young adults, trained by military vet Seiler (Zane), who have sworn to protect the town and aim for the head if anything threatens Elwood’s last survivors.

Bonus features on Zombie Killer: Elephant’s Graveyard Blu-ray™ and DVD include the behind-the-scenes featurettes “Bloodbath and Beyond,” “The Look of Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard,” and “Zombie Killers: Elephant’s Graveyard Behind the Scenes.

Dee Wallace and Artist Jeremy Saffer

Posted in entertainment, Goth, horror, Horror Babes, magazines, Monsters, tv on November 23, 2014 by chrisdsav

Tonight on the show we have Jeremy Saffer a fantastic rock photographer we have known for awhile from Rock and Shock.

His art style can be found in numerous magazines and websites. He has a great portfolio and an amazing eye.

Followed up by the lovely and talented Dee Wallace returns to Radio of Horror from Grimm. You may also know her from ET, Howling, and Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Lords of Salem and The Hills have Eyes and the list goes on and on. I really enjoyed her on Grimm last season as Monroe’s mother and hope she comes back this season.
Pam and I also talk about my time at Super Mega Fest and Catch up on Sleepy Hollow, Constantine, Shield, and The Walking Dead

RIP Arthur Rankin and Glen Larson

Posted in Cartoons, entertainment, horror/sci-fi cartoon, tv on November 18, 2014 by chrisdsav

This past week we lost Glen Larson creator of many great tv shows including Magnum PI, Quincy, and sci-fi greats like Battlestar Gallactica, Night Rider, and Buck Rogers in the 25th century, and the 6 Million Dollar Man. He may never have touched apon the horror industry as far as I can tell but what he did for sci-fi tv is simply amazing. He died of Cancer this past Friday at the age of 77. His last bit of work was Caprica.

Now you maybe wondering why Arthur Rankin is also listed as ai just found out and several other people heard this as well, he died back in January. The reason its so relevant now is his and Bass work really hits home at this time of year as we enter the Holiday season. He worked on Thundercats and The last Unicorn and The Hobbit animated movies. He stepped into the Horror genre with Mad Monster Party. I didn’t watch that one till I was an adult but the Christmas special Santa is coming to Town is one of my all time favorites.

Both really are a tremendous loss to the industry and both deserve to be remembered for what they did. Their legacies will forever live on as more and more children and adults discover their classic timeless work.

Witchblade the Anime and TV show

Posted in Anime/Manga, Cartoons, Comic Books, entertainment, Goth, horror, Horror Babes, horror/sci-fi cartoon, Monsters, SciFi on November 13, 2014 by chrisdsav

Back before all we had was X-men the movie and Blade we didn’t have the bevy of Comic Book mayhem we have today. No Walking Dead or Arrow. We were two  years away from Smallvile and Spider-man really exploding the media of Superheroes.
In 2000 we got Witchblade the made for TV movie and then two season over the summer on TNT, staring Yancy Butler. The show and movie came out on DVD a few years back and really is worth checking out. It ended on a cliff hanger as do most shows that get canceled before they were suppose too.

image

It was decent and followed the comic very well and even brought some much needed seriousness to what was at the time a T and A bad joke. The show didn’t have the gauntlet tear Sarah’s clothes apart and Butler actually looked like a NY cop pretty and bad ass. Not the porn star style body Sarah has in the comics.
Unfortunately the show was canceled and rumors are the star was drunk a lot on set. Look it up I’m not a gossip column.

Years went by and we never saw another version until 2006 Funimation the anime company teamed up with Top Cow to produce an anime show set in the future with a new bearer of the  Witchblade. Masane Amaha is a single mother trying to survive in Neo Tokyo and has been chosen as the new bearer of the mystical gauntlet. She ends up working for the owner of the Dojo Group in Japan and has to put a stop to their hay wire Neo Genes cyborgs. Its boobs monsters and bloody good times. I mean LOTS OF BOOBS cleavage and no nudity BTW. Its anime what do you expect ART?? Wait ignore that last part some anime is Art.
This is a decent anime show even if its silly and filled with silly extra characters. The Witchblade feeds off Masane energy and she gets very aroused from killing to the point she is in ecstasy. Watch Frozen the anime show its very similar.

The show is on blu ray and DVD and worth picking up. Its filled with bonus material galore. Including interviews with people who worked on the comic book like Top Cow co creator Mark Silvestri.

The Evil Within Review

Posted in entertainment, horror, Horror Survival News, Video Games on November 12, 2014 by chrisdsav

The_Evil_Within_boxart

This is going to be a short review as I am still playing the game. Note to self never buy a new game in the middle of October YOU WILL NEVER GET A CHANCE TO PLAY IT. Between Halloween, Rock and Shock all the horror stuff to watch, and all the new tv shows when do you have time to. But I digress The Evil Within is one truly horror survival game that lives up to the legacy created by its creator Tango Gameworks head Shinji Mikami.
The creator of Resident Evil. You can see the similar creatures in the Resident Evil games compared to this one. With gruesome monsters and ugly boss battles that makes you very frustrated.

You play as Sebastian Castellanos, a detective called in to investigate a vicious collection of murders at a local mental hospital. You don’t know what is reality and what is a nightmare. They give you very limited ammo and when they do they give limited time to figure out what to do run or fight. Most time you should run and avoid those enemies you can. When you die its frustrating. I am only at level 7 and the chain saw guy fight 2 I hated to death your given no way to beat him if your out of ammo. or health.

When you pre order the game you get a few extras but nothing that will last I used up all the extra stuff with in the first few levels I had them.

The graphics are bloody and gross with bloody violence every where. Enemies don’t give up and will chase you down. You get to save at a weird hospital with a cryptic nurse and also where you spend the green goo you collect like points to give your self upgrades to your brain…..( don’t ask I don’t understand it)

You team up with your partner he helps you and you have to save him sometimes too, The computer plays him.
I suggest it for real true horror fans don’t expect a great plot but expect some real tense moments.
There is also a comic book series from Titan Comics you should check out as well.

Day of the Mummy

Posted in entertainment, Horror Movies, Monsters, Mummy with tags on November 6, 2014 by chrisdsav

I keep saying it there are not enuff Mummy movies on the market today. We need more Mummy movies. What is a Mummy? Its basically a zombie wrapped in bandages. We have so much good and bad Zombie crap out why not some Mummy stuff. Last Mummy movie I saw was the animated film Unwrapped and before that The Mummy Curse of the Dragon Emperor. In that the Mummy was played by Jet Li, as part of the Brendan Fraiser Mummy series. Universal is rebooting that franchise soon. I am planning on making my own Mummy movie sometime soon as well.

Mummy

Here is a Mummy movie coming soon from Image Entertainment.

Image Entertainment, an RLJ Entertainment (NASDAQ: RLJE) brand, announces the DVD release of the action/adventure film Day of the Mummy. Directed by Johnny Tabor (Eaters), the film stars Danny Glover (Lethal Weapon), William McNamara (Copycat), Andrea Monier (Black Water Vampire), Robin Steffen (Phase Two), Philip Marlatt (The Screen Junkies Show), Eric Young (Zipper), Michael Cortez (On the Downlow). Day of the Mummy will be available on DVD on December 9, 2014.

Welcome to Egypt, land of the Pharaohs. A place steeped in history and legend; Gods and spiritual guides; untold wealth – and the bone-cracking, blood-spilling guardians of its riches.

Jack Wells has arrived in Egypt in search of the famous diamond known as The Codex Stone. His journey leads him to the tomb of the cursed King Neferu, cursed not by name but by nature. With his centuries-old slumber disturbed by timeless human greed, the King rises from the dead with a blood-lust that cannot be quenched and a raging fury that will shred flesh from bone, bringing terrible and tormented death to all who dare witness the Day of the Mummy.

Dracula will rise AGAIN!!!!!

Posted in Comic Books, Dracula, Horror Movies, vampires with tags on November 3, 2014 by chrisdsav

As some of you may or may not know my kick starter for my gender Swapped Dracula movie has failed

like badly. I join the ranks of Joe Dante, Stuart Gordon, Dario Argentio who have tried to get a crowd funding campaign completed to make a new Horror movie. They on the other hand will get picked up by some studio most likely. (Except Argentio his Dracula sucked BIG TIME like what the fuck where they thinking??)

All the money that was donated will be returned to the people who help contribute. We do have other plans. As stated before there could be a comic book coming from this project and I have decided to take the script I wrote and turn it into a book. my own version of Dracula. You can do what ever you want with DRACULA as its public domain and can never be copy written.

I would like to thank Rachel and Andrew and Sara for helping out with the short film we did Dracula’s Guest.

Here is another article written by Josh Lyford over at the Worcester Magazine about my project. As stated in the title DRACULA WILL LIVE AGAIN!!!!
