Ecto Cooler ….Missing??

Posted in 80s, food, ghosts, news, remakes with tags , , on May 31, 2016 by chrisdsav

Where is it any one find it?? No one knows where it is. I have called COKE several times and the places that stock my products in Massachusetts. Where is this drink no one has a sku fr it. People are being ripped off on Ebay and can’t find it any where.

Walmart says it will be here on Friday as well I don’t believe that either.  I hope to hear back from Coke. The release date was May 30th but no store has the drink in stock. The new release date is June 3rd this Friday according to their site.

Hi-C Ghostbusters Ecto Cooler 2016

The statement below is from the Resurrect Ecto Cooler Facebook page.

Sold out, unavailable? Before you get too angry, here’s what you should know!

Availability is messy today, probably why Coke buried the release date in the original announcement of Ecto Cooler’s return (though we had to tout it on this fan page, making for a bit of a fervor today!)

There just aren’t channels for timed brick and mortar releases of juice. When is there hype in the juice aisle? What grocer would foresee this? Never and few. Luckily Coke says they’ve got loads in the warehouse, waiting to be ordered. That’s where you come in, if you want boxes, call your grocer and tell them what they’re missing. Coke can’t just send product, they have to want it. Provide UPC for ease: 0 25000 03242 4

If you’re only surrounded by giant chains that won’t carry, ordering cans may be your only option. Speaking as someone who has tried box vs can, we actually prefer can, so don’t feel gypped! Amazon Prime members had the luck of ordering some last night before it sold out. Coke says this too is being restocked. Here’s the link to bookmark http://www.amazon.com/…/B01FUB9…/ref=cm_cr_arp_mb_bdcrb_top…

Here is the contact information for the company if you want to find out what is going on.

At Pax East this year I had a chance to play Outlast 2 I had to buy the first one and its wicked cheap right now on PSN for 4.99. It’s a great run hide or DIE game no combat no fighting you have those three options and that’s it. I recorded some game play footage with my reactions. This is my first recorded game play footage check it out below and stay tuned when we have the developers of Outlast 2 on the show this Summer.

Spring Mini Horror Reviews

Posted in Demons, horror, Nazi, Reviews, vampires with tags , , on May 20, 2016 by chrisdsav

The Darkness

New movie staring Kevin Bacon with an original plot devise involving the Grand Canyon. Like the Forest early this year you have a neat idea and it has some cool visual effects and some creepy looking ancient villains The Anasazi Indians. They would appease spirit gods and their are some evil spirits trapped in some rocks. the main part of the story is decent and original. The young brother with Autism ( Bruce Wayne from Gotham, with real acting lessons) sees things other people don’t and the family ignores it until things get creepy. The sides story with the older sister weight loss problems the father cheated once its all really boring and slows the main plot down to the point you don’t care about the rest of the movie. if you like Kevin Bacon films its ok but his best horror movie was Stir of Echos. the director Greg McLean also directed Wolf Creek and Wolf Creek 2.

The Green Room

Staring Anton Yelchin and Patrick Stewart a band in desperate need of a new gig takes one at a club run by a group of Neo Nazi. When this discover a dead body it becomes a cat and mouse game between the skin heads and the band. Its funny to see two actors from two different eras of Star Trek in the same movie together on different sides of the story. Its a cool suspense story with a couple really gory moments. Patrick Stewart is great in the movie as the leader of the bad guys, but this is not his most riveting performance ever. He stands around and delivers dialog that’s really it. he seems to just read the lines in that awesome voice. If you like Stewart its a movie to check out. Yelchin is pretty good as the band leader trying to get his friends thru the ordeal. the movie is directed by Jeremy Saulnier who also wrote and directed Murder Party, which is also a really great little indie horror movie.

The Girl who Walks Alone At Night

AGWHAN_poster

Residents of a worn-down Iranian city encounter a skateboarding vampire (Sheila Vand) who preys on men who disrespect women. A black and white artsy Vampire movie that is different than the norm we have seen. It can be a little pacy at times but I really enjoy Ana Lily Amirpour is an Iranian-American film director, screenwriter, producer and actor. She has a great sense of style. A moody movie with a great soundtrack. I recommend it if your a big fan of  unique vampire movie.

Zombie Vikings

Posted in Reviews, Video Games, Zombies with tags , on May 18, 2016 by chrisdsav

A game I picked up at Pax East this past year Zombie Vikings is a fun plat former from Zoink  an indie developer operating out of dark, cold Sweden. You play as one of 4 Zombie Vikings in a quest to rid your land of evil. 4 player co op hack and slash in a  cartooney fun way that any one can enjoy. Gross out side jokes galore.

15952708106_71e73e71d4_z

Loki snatches Odin’s one remaining magic eye right out of its socket. With Odin blind as bat and the Gods of Valhalla too busy partying, Odin makes a desperate move: he summons four of the most fearsome zombie vikings out of the Norse soil: Gunnborg, Seagurd, Hedgy, and Caw-kaa! A putrid posse on a mission through the most epic of worlds to retrieve The Eye and make peace with their own rotten pasts.

This game has some of the best animation for a cartoon and it works well in the environment of the game it self. Choose among four different zombie vikings, each with his own story and special moves. You can hack your friends up and use them as weapons as well. You collect brains for power upgrades between levels.

The game has a great price tag of 19.99 and when I was at Pax if you got the physical copy you also got the sound track included as well. I highly recommend this game for friends looking for a co op adventure on a Friday night they can get drunk too and kick back and slaughter some bad guys. With 25 levels of game play you really get your money worth.

Available on Steam and PS4 check out the site below for more details.

New from Mondo records we have the single 7 inch sound track to the Monster Squad. The Monster Squad came out in 1987
The record has a Rock Until You Drop by Michael Sembello and Monster Squad Rap by the band The Monster Squad on the other side. they are goofy little songs and fun to listen too.

image

The one I obtained was with Dracula on the cover. The art work by Phantom City Creative.
Mondo also released covers with the Gillman the Mummy the Wolfman and the Monster of Frankenstein on the cover.

Each record has a blood splatter or color based on each of the creatures. It’s a cool little album if your a fan of the movie with a larger full length soundtrack coming this fall.

Comic Book Spotlight: Cannon Films Spider-Man

Posted in 80s, actors, Comic Books, entertainment, Fantasy with tags , , , on May 10, 2016 by chrisdsav

The movie we never got in the 90’s but we kept hearing about over and over again, untill the massive court battle with Cannon, and  Carloco, and James Cameron and Columbia aka Sony and so many other studios to numerous to mention. Various scripts and other problems.

Here is the trailer for the never released Spider-man movie, it is more a promo, but still if I had seen this in the 1980s. With Tom Cruise to play Spidey maybe. Stan Lee would have been J Jonah Jameson. There is also a great documentary on Netflix about Cannon. There is not much information about the Spider-Man movie from the 80’s most of the scripts are from the Carloco Cameron film. Part of the new Spider-Man trilogy had pieces of the script with Doc Ock.

Now we have Spider-Man in the Civil War movie. Check out Captain America Civil War at Black Stone Valley Cinema in Millbury Ma.

Coolidge After Midnight and Civil War

Posted in 80s, Friday the 13th, horror with tags , , on May 8, 2016 by chrisdsav

Tonight on the show  we move forward with a new format. It’s been this way for the past year since we lost my cohost due to circumstances beyond our control. Its really hard to do this show alone. Going forward till anew co-host is ever found the show will consist of just interviews and music from Horror and occasional sci-fi and fantasy. It really has been a lot more fun than trying to talk about a review on the air. Reviews will still be posted here and on youtube in the future.

We have Mark Anastasio from Coolidge After Midnight talking with us about Friday the 13th and the Marathon they are doing at the Rocky Woods Reservation showing parts 3 and 4. Then we have a Psychologist on to talk about Captain America Civil War in his new book Captain America vs Ironman.
Music tonight will be from Friday the 13th and Lito Velasco’s Nightmare on Elm st fan film he worked on.

Seize the Night

Posted in Interviews, thriller, vampires with tags , , on May 6, 2016 by chrisdsav

The new Vampire film from Emma Dark who came on the show last year to talk about it is now here. A dark and gritty action Vampire film from the UL it looks amazing. Emma did a great job and the cinematography looks amazing too. Not only does Emma star in the movie but she also directed it giving her extra chops and giving us more kick ass female horror directors. YOU CAN WATCH the video down below and don’t forget you can also check out her interview on my show last year. I find this better than Underworld and look forward to more form Emma.
