Vinyl Record Spotlight:BLADE

On Black Friday last week the score to BLADE was released . It has less than 10 tracks and does not include the Club Scene song we are all so familiar with. Which is funny considering the vinyl with it’s ALL MEW ART is just a drain and blood. It was soooo boring 😴. Record studios have all the money in the world and this is what they out out. They could have hired a comic artist to do a rendition of Blade . The inside jacket gives us Wesley Snipes killing a Vampire and the list of credits to the orchestra as well as the Vampire Glyphs we see in the movie but other than that I’m really disappointed in the package design.

The music is as good as you hear in the film that up beat and sometimes dark gothic club mix. The great crisp vinyl sound is perfect on my airwaves.

Blades fight with Deacon Frost is my favorite. As well as the “death” of Whistler score.

Composer Mark Isham music is worth the listen and you should check out his Imdb for his other great accomplishments.

Is among my favorite death scores along side the Death of Optimus Prime from Transformers The Movie. This is worth picking up as the score never got a release as much as the soundtrack with the 90s hip-hop and rap music did at the time. If your a fan of the film pick it up.
