Tonight I welcome you all to the 13th Anniversary of Dr.Chris Radio of Horror. This was launched many years ago this time on the 15th of Oct, but had to wait till today to celebrate it. On the show tonight we welcome back John J. York from WEREWOLF the Series and new comer to the show Director Patrick Lussier. Music tonight will be from Vinyl a new album I picked up.
Over the weekend a bit of news broke from https://ventsmagazine.com/ regarding the long over due heavily bootlegged cancelled FOx Tv show WEREWOLF the Series staring General Hospital’s John J. York. The Show was on in the 80s and I remember watching it reruns on USA Network in reruns in the 90s. John was the FIRST Actor guest we ever had on the show when we first began in 2007. IN 2009 Shout Factory was going to release a DVD of the set but it was cancelled.
Per Elephant’s Facebook page this week, the cult favorite will finally see a legal release on October 26, 2020 in a 6 DVD set which will include a 52 page book. The set comes with a recommended retail price of 39.99 and will be available for pre-order from their site in early August.
The Biggest question getting asked is will be play in US players as this seems to be a foreign market company from France and this could be region 2. Also what bonus material the SF edition was suppose to have will that be on the new set. SF has been very quite for legal reasons about their original set and its cancellation.

Also curious who has the rights to the WereWolf comic book and if they can ever get reprinted

Some Sad news Radio of Horror did not win any of the awards it was nominated for at the convention. We were nominated for Best Interviewer and Best Short Form Podcast. \
Tonight on the show we have from the movie Bonehill Road we have the director Writer on the show with us Todd Sheets. HE made this pretty decent low budget practical effects Werewolf movie. Then we have the music from the 1999 movie The Mummy a sound track I wanted to play a few weeks ago but ran out of time.

Kat and I are recording new episodes of Supernatural Creatures and Lore Podcast and a couple weeks ago we created this video based on our time at the Horror con in Providence RI.
WOW there were a lot of Horror movies in 2017 so far one a week and with more coming in February I thought the best way engage the audience about my thoughts would be to take it month by month. I am going to make some videos dedicated to the franchises we have out Resident Evil, Underworld and this weekend The Ring. Stay tuned for those soon. All movies are playing at the Black Stone Valley Plaza in Millbury Ma off of rt 146 and other theaters around the country.
UNDERWORLD BLOOD WARS
When I heard this female led action series was going to be directed by a Woman I was very excited BUTTTTTT Anna Foerster really didnt make this movie unique or better than the last. In fact she seems to ignore things set up in part 4. Kate Beckindale returns in what has become the most tired worn out Vampire franchise since Sparkle Boy and Cock Tease Girl, Its so heavy on the CGI and bland plot line over the top action and not in the John Wick way. Plots are dropped and the more interesting characters are killed off. Its Nice to see Kate back in leather again but I don’t need to see another one of these films again. When this first started I was so excited and I loved the dvd when it finally came, but as the series went on it got worse and worse.
The BYE BYE MAN
Don’t say it Don’t think it Don’t Say it Don’t think it……yeah just keep saying that over and over and over again. What a great idea but executed so badly. Another movie with a FEMALE director this month Stacy Title and I would be very happy if it was not so bad. Doug Jones is her saving grace but he barely does anything in this movie . Carrie Ann Moss shows up as a detective trying to investigate what is going with these three college kids who are being manipulated by this Bad Bad Man and she is USELESS in this movie. Her characters has nothing to do. Pass on this one.
SPLIT
Of all the films I thought would be the worst was one of the best SPLIT is a decent thriller by M. Night Shyamalan This was a decent portrayal of a split personality disorder. James McAvoy really shows his acting chops in this movie developing the different personality of the people inside Kevin. The onl;y problem I have is I wish we could have seen more of those other people as we only get maybe 7. The main character from last years The Witch and Barry, Anya Taylor Joy is really showing showing she is becoming the IT girl of Hollywood. There is a HUGE connection to another M Night film, I hope you all caught it and there are other Easter Eggs in this film worth checking out.
RESIDENT EVIL THE FINAL CHAPTER
Finally its over hopefully, I think so who knows Friday the 13th had its FINAL CHAPTER and he WENT TO HELL and we still got more Jason movies. I don’t know what Paul WS Anderson and his wife Mila Jovovitch are doing when they are making these movies. It opens In DC where we left the last film but with characters missing like Leo and Ada Wong and a powerless Alice with NO EXPLANATION of what happened. There is a movie between them and we never saw it. Claire Redfield shows back up with no mention of her brother Chris….he must have been making Prison Break the mini Series and DC Legends of Tomorrow. I like Ali Larter and live seeing her in things, I been in love with her since Final Destination, but this series wasted her as an actress. If this is what we call acting fuck this, this film series is just hear to suck money from you cuz people are too stupid to stop seeing them. You want a great Resident Evil Experience go play Part 7 Bio-hazard of the video games series. Trust me it will be well worth the money

New from Mondo records we have the single 7 inch sound track to the Monster Squad. The Monster Squad came out in 1987
The record has a Rock Until You Drop by Michael Sembello and Monster Squad Rap by the band The Monster Squad on the other side. they are goofy little songs and fun to listen too.
The one I obtained was with Dracula on the cover. The art work by Phantom City Creative.
Mondo also released covers with the Gillman the Mummy the Wolfman and the Monster of Frankenstein on the cover.
Each record has a blood splatter or color based on each of the creatures. It’s a cool little album if your a fan of the movie with a larger full length soundtrack coming this fall.

These never get old well they get older with age I mean but you know what I am talking about. Today ALL of the UNIVERSAL MONSTER movies from the 30s-50s were released on blu-ray for the first time ever. Now a couple years ago we had the main films but this gives us all of them and if you are not a fan of the Wolf man or only want Dracula then you can pick up the individual sets that only contain those monsters you love. You also get the Abbot and Costello Movies, were Bud an Lou meet Frankensten and The Mummy and The Wolfman and Dracula, and the Invisible Man. FYI If you have never seen Bud and Lou horror comedies they are some of the best ever made.
A lot of the bonus material is carried over form previous releases and, the only one I picked up was the blu ray of The Creature from the Black Lagoon. I own the Legacy collections for Wolfman Dracula, Mummy and Frankenstein. If you don’t own these films and you call your self a hard core horror fan GO NOW BUY THEM STOP READING THIS AND GO ORDER THEM.
