I had a few questions for Teri on her work, inspirations, and current/upcoming projects!
When did you know you had a passion for Horror?
“I knew since I was young and watching sci-if films with my father I had a passion for horror. Horror, Halloween, anything spooky always gave me an excitement that no other thing could. I was so intrigued by monsters and characters like Elvira and TV shows like The Munsters. I did all my school career projects on Hollywood & Horror when I could. I even remember a final where I included a scene from ‘Beetlejuice’ in my presentation. So, it has always been there.”
What inspired you to start doing Horror Make-up?
“Since elementary school I talked about moving to Hollywood and working in film and horror. I threw a huge Halloween party at my parents house in 2003 and I said to myself ‘I want this every day’, I wanted the things that are celebrated in October to be celebrated in my life 365 and I knew if I got into Horror Make-up and film and monsters, I could make that a reality. I wanted to mix my two favorite things, Horror/Halloween & Film-Horror. Make-up seemed like the perfect solution.”
Tell us about “Sea Griffin Creations & Productions”!
“In 2010 I met Carson Griffin, and we both shared a huge passion for film and horror. Late 2010 we began writing our first film “Zombeef.” After that we began working together doing everything from FX, blood, filming, art, editing, writing, and even stop motion.
We decided to create “Sea Griffin Creations and Productions” to showcase all of our projects. We have been working together now for 7 years and we are very proud of what we have accomplished and only plan to keep going and taking things further!”
What are your most recent projects?
“Right now we’re working on a few new short films that we’re writing and directing. We’re still working on the development of “The Real Ghoulwives of Los Angeles”
