The Fall of Fangoria? AGAIN??

I don’t know what to say about the rise and fall and rise and FALL again of Fangoira magazine but you can check out the press statement here. The Producer of Cinestate was arrested for RAPING a 16 year old girl in 2017. Many podcast like Adam Greens Movie Crypt left Fangoria Podcast network. I had a project in development with Cinestate and now has been cancelled. I’m shocked and dismayed at their actions but Fangoria is reacting well, lets just see if they can survive the fallout. A few years ago when they relaunched the magazine I was going to work on audio books for them and that project fell apart, glad I didnt.

Dee Wallace and Artist Jeremy Saffer

Tonight on the show we have Jeremy Saffer a fantastic rock photographer we have known for awhile from Rock and Shock.

His art style can be found in numerous magazines and websites. He has a great portfolio and an amazing eye.

Followed up by the lovely and talented Dee Wallace returns to Radio of Horror from Grimm. You may also know her from ET, Howling, and Rob Zombie’s Halloween and Lords of Salem and The Hills have Eyes and the list goes on and on. I really enjoyed her on Grimm last season as Monroe’s mother and hope she comes back this season.

IDW and Zenescope

TONIGHT on the show the comic book coverage continues as we have reps from both Zenescope Entertainment and IDW Publishing on the show with us talking about Grimm Fairy Tales and X-files and more V Wars coverage btw did I forget to mention I am writing V Wars the Book vol 3 next year. Pat Shand writer of many Zenescope books comes on with us and Nate from IDw talks many good things about the company.

Comic Con and V wars Author John Maberry

Tonight on the show its all comics. We have Nick one of the heads for the Boston Comic Con on the show. Well talk about all the great guests and artists Like James Marsters from Buffy and Angel and Scott Snyder from American Vampire and Batman . Then we have V Wars author John Maberry he is working on a comic about his hit book and a upcoming comic on Rot and Ruin. We will also be playing the sound track for Guardians of the Galaxy.

Free Comic Book Day

Today is Free Comic Book Day lots of free comics to be given away head down to your local comic shop like Thats Entertainment, Bed Rock Comics, Hall of Comics to check out what we have in store.
The V Wars by Johnathan Maberry came out Wed and issue zero is a FCBD issue with cover art by Kevin Eastman. Zombie Tramp is another Horror comic I picked up much more humor horror than V Wars. Tomorrow night reps from The Hartford Comic Con come on the show.

Just hit 30,000 visitors since the blog launched July 2009. There have been 745 posts I have made to the blog. Happy New Year to every one who has made Radio of Horror have a great 2013. We have 150 followers to the blog now as well. The number of people who hit the blog to learn about the show is more impressive to me as this shows the traffic is very good. Not every one wants email updates about a blog and I can respect their privacy. The show covers a wide range of topics and sometimes not all of them horror. Links above can show you what else we cover.

BEDLAM

Written by Nick Spencer and art and covers by Riley Rossmo and Frazer Irving. The story of a serial killer name Madder Red who killed woman children men it didnt matter who he killed. He  desicrated their corpses and was a real fucked up psycho.
He disapears for ten years is cured of his madness and comes back claiming to want to protect the city he once terrorized.

The art fits the mood of the story in really graphic ways. Its like Dexter but more twisted and revolting. I been hooked into the TPB by Image comics after it was suggested to me by Thats Entertainment in Worcester MA.

If you want a real messed up villian turned hero story this is it.

Boston Comic Con and a new voice
