Film Fests can be fun a great way to network and meet people in your community and they can be exhausting and a nightmare. Shawna Shea Film fest is fun and never a nightmare. More of an education of fringe art and art giving us some amazing people who could go on to bigger things.

I’ve volunteered at it for 3 years and donated and submitted films and plugged it on the radio for a decade now. Even when I didn’t have Skip on the show. I was talking about the film fest. I submitted a non horror movie it (tho blink and you will miss a upcoming guests Image Horror comic book shown.)

Some films definitely need to mention

Venus

Directed by Esmeralda Seay-Reynolds

A psychological thriller short that was unbelievable in its delivery and message and an ending I didn’t see coming that was creepy and relatable at the same time.

Always Wear Comfortable Shoes

Directed by Angie Hansen

A super quick horror comedy short of why when u run from a Slasher Killer wear the right shoes

Fang

Directed by Richard Burgin

A movie about autism that really understands people with it a monster movie different than I have seen before and Lynn Lowery in one of her best Roles. Look for Lynn at Monstah Expo

Killing with Kindness

Directed by Patrick Rahall

A comedy short with a silly premise that works for the most part from a first time director who’s a decent writer, pick up his book.

Cup of Tea

Directed by Diana Porter

A monster movie that keeps you wondering whats what and who’s who, it gave me chills to review this one and see it again. Also written by Diana who’s got a awesome comic book out too.

Rodney Bookstore

Directed by Olivia Huang

About the Rodney Bookstore in Cambridge Massachusetts untimely end during the height of the covid 19 pandemic due to rising rental Costs

Celephais

Directed by Michael Neel

A film based on the short story by HP Lovecraft and a story I don’t think has ever been made into any media. I was happy to watch this original take on LoveCrafts short 3 times one as a judge and 2 in two festivals in the audience.
